IPA MEMBER SERVICES The IPA of Denton County is a physician-directed nonprofit membership association that offers a variety of benefits to physician practices. Member practices are independent and autonomous, and have access to all of the IPA's services. Membership benefits include: MANAGED CARE CONTRACTS The IPA offers members the opportunity to participate in any of our group managed care contracts. The IPA also serves as a liaison with these plans for its members on issues of reimbursement and claims problems.

PHYSICIAN PURCHASING PROGRAM

The IPA offers its members a comprehensive list of preferred price vendors of products and services including medical equipment and supplies, office products, medical publications, computer hardware, lab services, biohazard waste disposal, drugs/vaccines, document destruction and more. Each practice receives a 3 ring notebook with vendor information. Please log in to the Members Only area for a list of Vendors, products and services abailable.

IPA OFFICE MANUAL

An IPA Office Manual is furnished to each practice containing information on the IPA's direct clients and the
Managed Care plans with which the IPA is contracted. Its chapters contain IPA Provider Directories, Contract Summary Pages, and Sample Fee Lists for each plan.

PHYSICIAN CREDENTIALING PROGRAM

The IPA has contracted with an NCQA accredited credentials verification organization for primary verifications
and disciplinary/licensing histories. Many of the IPA's contracted Plans delegate credentialing to the IPA,
thus saving physician offices extra paperwork.

DISABILITY INSURANCE PROGRAM

The IPA now offers an individual disability insurance plan underwritten by Standard Insurance Company. Each "own occupation" plan can be individually tailored to provide comprehensive coverage to all medical specialties. This plan can include Business Overhead Expense and Business Equity Protection components as well.  IPA members will receive 10 to 15% discount on disability, business overhead protection policies.
